She also spent time with both my husband and me, showing him practical ways he could support me throughout labor. That preparation gave us both so much more confidence going into the birth. Jeanette’s support extended far beyond just me. She made sure my husband felt included, informed, and supported throughout the entire process. She recognized that birth is an experience for the whole family, and she cared just as much about making sure he had the guidance and reassurance he needed. Even outside of our scheduled meetings, Jeanette was always available to answer questions, provide evidence-based information, and offer encouragement over the phone whenever I needed it. Her dedication and generosity with her time made such a meaningful difference during my pregnancy and birth. By the end of this journey, I genuinely felt like I had gained so much more than a doula. It never felt like a business transaction—it felt like I had found a trusted friend who truly cared about my family and wanted the very best for us. I will always be grateful for her compassion, knowledge, unwavering support, and the positive impact she had on one of the most important days of our lives.
